3/4 sleeve shirt completely done!

It's done, done, done!

I served the side seams, left the bottom hem and sleeve hems raw, and tried out a different neck treatment.  I meant to topstitch the side seams by hand, but then it turned out that doing that over the serging just wasn't going to work well.  I did snip open the smallest motifs and stamens, and don't regret that at all.

For the neckline, I serged a 2" band of knit along the edge, stretching slightly, and just overlapping the ends.  Then I folded that to the inside (approximately the width of the serged seam), and did a running stitch along the seam (shows on the front).

Then I just trimmed the excess of on the inside.  I was going to then hand-stitch it to the white layer, hopefully invisibly, but then I decided that I don't think it needs that.  We'll see how it looks after a wearing.  The whole thing is a wee bit tight, but I like it a lot anyway. I'm not used to wearing such a "stable" knit as the double-layer used here!  It feels kind of like armour.

View of the arm seam, showing how the hand sewing works with the serged parts.
Oh. And my thumb, there.  Fun.
