Tiny sewing

My six-year-old has been sewing, by hand, and beading!!!

She has now completed the full "JEANNE" in big black wooden beads on the bottom.  No idea why she looks so glum here - the following pic was 3 seconds later.

So... this is all in some strange mix of nylon and poly/cotton fabric (primarily upholstery?) that she brought home in twisted up scraps from school.  We brainstormed about what it could turn into and she proceeded to help me lay it out, cut and plan, and then she did 95% of the sewing (by hand!) and 80% of the beading herself.  It's probably TERRIBLE fabric to be wearing near a stove.  Her kitchen tasks usually involve chopping things (soft things) up with a knife, though.
