Got some pictures today! I wore my new, incredibly tight and non-stretch Jalie 2908 stretch corduroy jeans, and my 2nd knit top from Simplicity 1070.
For the jeans I did my usual straight leg (no flare) which give a nice loose boot cut, and did a button at the waistband instead of my usual hook/trouser closure. The pockets and waistband lining are in satin, which feels nice but may not last all that well. They are very tight in the crotch! I gave myself maybe 1/8 more ease at the side seams because of the non-stretch fabric, but they are still mighty snug. They feel fine when I stand and walk, but sitting takes a little bit of care.
The knit top is in the same hefty rayon knit from fabric.com that I used last time. Aacck! I just shed a white hair. I'm not sure I've ever LOST a white hair before. Just another sign of how many there are now. Oh well. Anyway, I added about 1/2 inch at each side of the hips and tapered to the normal waist. Could have added an inch or more, I think. I wear it with a cardigan. I love the citrine color!
I also grabbed the following crazy fabric from Joann this weekend. It's a knit, opaque, and a light blush on one side with a silvery/blush metallic on the other. I'm thinking some sort of drape-neck top, but am torn on sleeves or not.
