Alabama Chanin had a 25% off sale last week for black friday, and I finally bit the bullet and ordered something! Most of their colors of fabric are out of stock, so I didn't think this was the time to order a bunch of yardage for a bigger project, but I have been interested in seeing what the quality and stenciling looks like in person. So, I went for the bucket hat! Even at 25% off it's expensive for a garment that I won't likely wear all that often, but I'm viewing it as partly entertainment as well. It arrives this coming Monday! Very excited - I'll take it on our trip and work on it after Christmas, when (one way or another) I won't have tablecloths and smocked girls dresses to work on anymore!
Tablecloth - 20 rows left, getting 2/day done when I work on it. Girls dresses - 1/4 smocked. Sewing should take just 2 hours of solid sewing time, a bit more if I have to stop and start a lot. I'm hoping for one late night.
