The bucket hat style isn't that great on me. I do need to take off about 2 inches on my hair (this weekend?) so perhaps it will be better then. The edge turns up on its own a bit, which is better than if it were a true "bucket". It's remarkably warm given that it's just a single layer of cotton in most spots.
Whole hat - showing the one side seam. I topstitched that one (by hand) but am not sure what to do about the round top seam. It doesn't seem to make sense to topstitch it either on the top or brim of the hat.
View of the inside. It's kind of pretty not having all the tied off ends! Perhaps I'll wear it inside out.
Nice detail shot - I clustered most of my knots and ends near the center of the Magdalena flower pattern, which makes it look a bit messy there. I still think I like it. The neat knot-tying was less onerous than I'd thought. I really did tie off and break for even the smallest shapes. My backstitch does look nice here, but I'm still not sold on it for a larger garment.
